Wapley Hill has a full range of woodland birds, including Piquitureto Común, Jilguero Lúgano, Pinzón Real, Carbonero Palustre, Carbonero Montano, Mito Común, Carbonero Garrapinos, Camachuelo Común, Pardillo Alpino, Papamoscas Gris and warblers. There are polecats too.

Wapley is four miles south east of Presteigne. Take B4355 Kington road, then turn left to Stansbatch. Go left again at Stansbatch and car park is one mile ahead on the left. There is a picnic area here also. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 4 km long.
