Descripción
Wellington Gravel Pits is a typical wetland site with open water, islands, reed beds and scrubland. Good for egrets, grebes, winter wildfowl, warblers, Alcotán Europeo and Martín Pescador Común. 200 or more Barnacla canadiense grande in autumn. Mudflats in front of the hide attract waders but often obscured by weed growth.

Park on west side A 49, layby is just south of Wellington village. Cross A49 and follow the track eastwards. Go right after crossing the brook, then left to access hide and main lake.
