San Gregorio State Beach is a scenic, wide sandy beach on the San Mateo County coast, located directly off Highway 1. San Gregorio State Beach includes a protected, driftwood-strewn estuary at the back of a wide, sandy beach with grassy bluffs along the coast. The estuary is home to many birds and small animals. A lagoon often forms where the creek meets the ocean, attracting birds. Bids you can observe include ducks, herons, geese, cormorants, gulls, grebes, Caspian Tern, Common Raven, Brown Pelican and many shorebirds.

San Gregorio State Beach is located directly off Highway 1 between Half Moon Bay and Pescadero. At the entrance road there is a spacious parking lot. Press P on the map for directions.
