Meghri is a town in a mountain valley, on a principal northbound road, the M-11. It's surrounded by farmland.
The area north of Meghri town is a good area to see sirovarpushaukka, possibly in gardens, farmland or roadside.
It's necessary to be able to inspect several kilometres of roadside in and around Meghri, best done by a slow drive with plenty of alert watchers. Access is limited to public roads and town and farm lanes.
