Description

The Schwarzweiher- und Nutzweiherkette consists of several fishing ponds, some scattered trees and bushes and fields around them. The 8 km long Uehlfelder Stork Educational Trail passes through this area and some info signs teach you more about the kattohaikara and the area. The route around the little ponds is around 3 km long and can be best done in spring or early summer (May, June).

Access

The Schwarzweiher- und Nutzweiherkette are located near the village of Demantsfürth. The ponds are located just southeast of Uehlfeld. You can leave your car next to one of the utility ponds next to the observation platform. Press P on the map for directions to the parking.
