Description
At Gunthorpe Gravel Pits 120+ species of bird have been seen, including uivelo, isokoskelo and tukkakoskelo in winter, when töyhtöhyyppä, Lapasorsa and teal can be numerous on flooded fields. Spring brings rytikerttunen, ruokokerttunen, pensassirkkalintu to breed, and mustatiira, kivitasku and pensastasku on migration. In summer, nuolihaukka hunt swallows over the ponds.
