Description

Mallards Pike is a scenic lake in the Forest of Dean. The lake has reedbeds and woodland around it, which provides various habitats for different species of birds. The area features several walking trails, including circular routes. Birds you can observe include harmaalokki, mandariinisorsa, käpytikka, pähkinänakkeli, pikkukäpylintu, vihervarpunen, virtavästäräkki and hippiäinen.

Access

Mallards Pike is located in the east of the Forest of Dean. There is a parking site nearby and the area can be reached by bike as well. Best to go on foot through the area. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. The circular route shown on the map is about 4 km.
