Parco Scandellara has numerous different habitats within which many birds can be found, both nesting and spring migrants. One of its peculiarities is a large part left uncultivated and wild where you can find many wild orchids as well as nesting Rossignol philomèle and other species. Other than this, the park has several cultivated areas where during migration you can find Alouette des champs and Tourterelle des bois and resident Chevêche d'Athéna and Faucon crécerelle.

Italiano: Il Parco Scandellara ha molti e veriegati habitat nei quali si possono osservare numerose specie di uccelli, sia nidificanti che migratori primaverili. Una sua caratteristica è che una larga parte del parco è stata lasciata incolta e selvaggia in cui si osservano orchidee selvagge e dove usignoli e altre specie nidifcano. Oltre a questo, il parco presenta diverse aree coltivate dove, durante la migrazione, si possono trovare l'Alouette des champs e la Tourterelle des bois, oltre alla Chevêche d'Athéna e al Faucon crécerelle residenti.

Parco Scandellara is located on the eastern outskirts of the city of Bologna. There are several parkings in the area. Click on the P in the map for directions to a parking. You can also get there by train (stazione Santa Rita) or with several buses (14). The best way to explore the area is by foot. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 5 km.
