Lake Efteni is beautiful area in terms of landscape. Around the lake area, there are mountains which are covered by forests. The lake area is surrounded not only by the mountains but also by a plain. You can go to the forest site for birding as well. The lake area is a gathering place for wintering birds. One of the highlights is the Fuligule nyroca. The species can be seen there in significant numbers. Also, other water birds can be seen closely in the area. Especially in winter, there are several species such as Bécassine des marais, Sarcelle d'hiver, Canard chipeau and Vanneau huppé that you can see high numbers.
