Around the Yedikır Dam, there is a plain where the wintering Hibou des marais population occurs. Also, the wintering Oie rieuse flocks occur around the dam. Beside, the Grue demoiselle breeds close to the dam which is the modern breeding couple of the species in Turkey. Oedicnème criard can be seen in the northern part of the lake in the flat dusty areas. You can see Petit Gravelot, Pygargue à queue blanche, Caille des blés, Fuligule nyroca, Fuligule milouin and many more. Also, this area always has a possibility to see rare species there such as Bernache nonnette which is the second record for Turkey. Grand-duc d'Europe can be seen there which would be an uncommon record of the species. Therefore, it is obvious that you should go to the dam area to do birdwatching if you can.
