Thanks to its size and rural location Kessingland Beach rarely feels crowded, even during the sunniest summer days, unlike beaches further up the coast at Lowestoft. The beautiful beach has protected nesting Sterne naine. Lovely beach walk for Hirondelle de rivage. Large lagoon for wading birds with sand pipers. Reed beds for warblers and Butor étoilé and woodland for Coucou gris. A superb half or full day bird watching with a full variety must not be missed at the right time of year. Other birds that can be seen here are Mouette tridactyle, Grand Gravelot,schol Huîtrier pie, Alouette haussecol and Alouette des champs.
