The area has a mixture of habitats including more open areas of grassland, a good selection of trees, most of which are best described as being young, including Ash (Fraxinus), Oak (Quercus), Alder (Alnus), Hazel (Corylus), Cherry (Prunus) and Sycamore (Acer) and boundary hedges.
Most birds are of more common species, Coucou gris and Locustelle tachetée are sometimes seen but more regularly heard and are more than likely to be just passage migrants. Both Pouillot véloce and Fauvette à tête noire are regular summer visitors and some may overwinter. Pouillot fitis are summer visitors and Hirondelle rustique can be seen feeding over the open grass areas.
