In Winter, hunting Busard des roseaux over the reeds is a common sight, along with waterfowl on the pools, Effraie des clochers hunting over the grassy areas, some increasingly spectacular murmaerations of Étourneau sansonnet and with the chance of Panure à moustaches. Year round there are a number of way marked trails to follow through the reserve. Summer brings Faucon hobereau and Bouscarle de Cetti which can occasionally be heard over winter now too. Woodland birds are found in the wooded area to the south of the reserve.
