Description

Lemoine Point Conservation Area is a 136-hectare recreational conservation area known for its diverse ecosystems, including wetlands, forests, and shoreline along Lake Ontario. Birds are easy to find and not shy. You can watch them very closely. There are two parking lots and 5 different trails through this conservation area. Birds you can see include Northern Cardinal, Blue Jay, Barred Owl, different types of woodpeckers, White-breasted Nuthatch, Black-capped Chickadee, Bobolink, Eastern Meadowlark, Baltimore Oriole and many species of warblers.

Access

Lemoine Point Conservation Area is located in Kingston, near the west end of the city and bordered by Lake Ontario and Collins Bay. Drive west from downtown Kingston toward the Kingston Airport area and follow signs to Coverdale Drive, where the main parking lot is located. The trails start near the parking lot and extend through varied habitats along the waterfront and inland. There are two parking lots. Press a P on the map for directions.
