The Avant-port is a port zone that includes several basins along the river Rhine. It is easy to see the birds from the riverbank. Many Crvenokljuni Labud and Liska with some Divlja Patka and Veliki Vranac year-round, and Krunata Patka and Riječni Galeb in winter. During a cold winter, Veliki ronac is sometimes seen.

The Avant-port of Strasbourg is located on the eastern outskirts of Strasbourg, along the Rhine River. Easy to reach by car or bicycle. Press P on the map for directions. Several tram and bus lines run close to the port area.
