The Bois du Roule is an important natural area for Rouen's biodiversity and is classified as a sensitive natural area in Seine-Maritime. Due to its small size (It covers an area of about 55 hectares), it is easy to get to know the area and observe the forest birds. In spring, bluebells carpet the undergrowth, covering it in a purple blanket. Birds you can observe include: Crvenoglavi djetlić, Veliki Djetlić, Zelena žuna, Kukmasta sjenica, Crnoglava sjenica, Plavetna Sjenica, Velika Sjenica, Zeba, Kratkoprsti puzavac, Brgljez, Škanjac, Šumska sova, Zlatoglavi Kraljić, Vatroglavi Kraljić, Šojka and Mali Drozd.

Le Bois du Roule est un espace naturel important pour la biodiversité rouennaise et est classé espace naturel sensible de Seine-maritime. Du fait de sa petite taille, il est un site important pour l'observation de l'avifaune forestière. Au printemps, les Jacinthes des bois envahissent le sous-bois le tapissant d’un manteau violet. Access
Bois du Roule is accessible by car from Darnétal and Saint-Jacques-sur-Darnétal, and also by public transport (bus) from Rouen. There is a car park at the entrance. Press P on the map for directions. The woods can be explored on foot or by mountain bike. The double loop walk shown on the map is approximately 5 km in total.
