Description
The salt marshes and grasslands of the bay of Mont Saint-Michel extend for several kilometers. Although the landscape is heavily impacted by artificial ponds for waterfowl hunting (hunting is mostly done at night), many birds can be seen in the area. The grassy areas support the presence of several passerines such as Poljska Ševa, Ševa Krunica, Livadna Trepetljka and Planinska trepteljka. Small mammals are also present on the site, allowing for a significant number of birds of prey such as Sova močvarica, Eja Močvarica, Eja Strnjarica, Vjetruša, Sivi Sokol, Mali Sokol and sometimes Eja Livadarka. The Kobac is also a common sight in the summer.
As for waders, Mala Šljuka is present on the site, as is Šljuka Kokošica. Other waders can also be observed. Several ducks and geese can be spotted. For example Sjevernomorska guska, Grivasta guska, Utva and Divlja Patka. Late afternoon is the best time for observation.

Les prairies et pâturages ras de la baie du Mont s'étendent sur plusieurs kilomètres. Le paysage est fortement impacté par des étangs artificiels pour la chasse du gibier d'eau (chasse se pratiquant plutôt la nuit) ce qui profite alors à certains anatidés, pour le meilleur et pour le pire... Les herbus favorisent la présence de plusieurs passereaux comme l' Poljska Ševa et l' Ševa Krunica , le Livadna Trepetljka et le Planinska trepteljka. Les micro-mammifères sont aussi présent sur le site permetttan la présence d'un cortège important de rapaces comme le Sova močvarica, le Eja Močvarica, le Eja Strnjarica et parfois le Eja Livadarka, mais aussi le Vjetruša, le Sivi Sokol et le Mali Sokol. Un pygargue à queue blanche issu d'un zoo de Mayenne s'y balade souvent aussi ! L' Kobac est aussi bien présent l'été.
Concernant les limicoles, la Mala Šljuka est présente sur le site, comme la Šljuka Kokošica. D'autres petits limicoles comme certains Scolopacidés peuvent être observés également. Pour les anatidés, des Sjevernomorska guska peuvent être observés parmis les Grivasta guska , les Utva ou les Divlja Patka. La fin d'après-midi est la meilleur période d'obsevration.

Access
Herbus du Mont Saint-Michel is located 12 km north of the town of Pontorson. Several roads lead to the area. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The dike is entirely accessible on foot and provides a high vantage point, thus allowing for easier observation of the species.
