The road towards Makara is a great route to search for many typical inland breeding species that inhabit the drier parts of the island, like Čukar, Primorska Bjeloguza and Brgljez kamenjar. The rocky outcrops are a great spot for Modrokos and Istočna strnadica. The small scattered bushes are good for migrating Smeđoglavi Batić, Sivkasta Bjeloguza and Crnoglavi Batić.
Further down the road, the road lies adjacent to a shallow valley with scattered trees, and several small groves. These areas are great for migrants, like Pčelarica, Pupavac, shrikes, warblers, swallows, swifts and flycatchers.
