Description
Zalew Szałe is a good place to observe migrating ducks, such as Zviždara, Patka Lastarka and Kržulja. On the reservoir itself, you can spot many species of gulls, divers, and grebes, such as Crnogrli Plijenor, Galeb Klaukavac and Burni Galeb, which breeds here. Rarities such as Èakora, Riđa muljača and Glaucous Gull have appeared on the reservoir.
Szałe isn't just a reservoir, it encompasses everything surrounding it. In the surrounding Winiary forest, you can spot interesting species like Crna žuna, Ševa Krunica and Kratkokljuni puzavac. Bregunica and gulls nest readily on the slopes near the reservoir, and in the local fields, you can observe Vivak and Vijoglav. I hope I've encouraged you to observe this incredibly important place for the region. See you at Szałe.
