Vali Recep Yazıcıoğlu Barajı is a big artificial lake directly to the east of Denizli. Many water birds are attracted to the area. Among the birds you can see on and around the reservoir are Bijela roda, Mali Gnjurac, Mala Bijela Čaplja, Troprsti Zlatar, Zlatar Pijukavac, Kameničak, Vivak, Oštrugasti vivak, Kulik Blatarić, Kulik Sljepčić, Patka Pupčanica, Zviždara, Patka Gogoljica, Krunata Patka, Patka Njorka and Plamenac.
