Description
Its a saline type of pond which sometimes turns a pink or reddish hue. It is a natural occurrence that happens occasionally due to the proliferation of a pigmented species of protozoan, an organism similar to algae in a water. In Dubai every place with open water attracts both people to have a walk, jogging or a picnic and several species of birds. At the pond you can spot typical waterbirds like Crna čaplja, Vlastelica and Veliki Vranac as well as urban birds like House Crow, Common Myna and many others.
