Description
When flooded in winter the Ashleworth Ham area attracts large flocks of Kržulja, Zviždara, Patka Lastarka, Patka Žličarka, Glavata Patka, plovers and other waders. Large flocks of Drozd Bravenjak and Mali Drozd possible. Birds of prey follow the flocks. Sensitive breeding site for Šljuka Kokošica, Vivak, warblers, Žuta Pastirica and Močvarna Strnadica, therefore no walking trail, but hide and viewing screen provide comprehensive overview. Floodwater can occasionally cover roads in the area completely, take care not to be cut off by rising waters.

From Gloucester follow Over Causeway A419 to Hartpury, then right to Ashleworth, then two more right turns. Parking on roadside verge only.
