Description
Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Zviždara, Kržulja and Patka Žličarka in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Patka Batoglavica. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Crvenonoga Prutka, Oštrigar and Kulik Sljepčić in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Trstenjak cvrkutić, Trstenjak Rogožar and Svilorepa, Kukavica and Kokošica. Sokol Lastavičar are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Plosnatokljuni Žalar and Pectoral Sandpiper, Riđa liskonoga, Vijoglav and Riđoglavi Svračak.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
