Description
The Deben Estuary is a nationally and internationally significant wintering area for up to 6,000 Troprsti Zlatar, 600 Crnorepa Muljača, Crvenonoga Prutka and 400+ Modronoga Sabljarka. Also Žalar Cirikavac, Rđasti Žalar, Zlatar Pijukavac and Vivak. Patka Batoglavica at Martlesham Creek and Sjeverni plijenor at Ramsholt. Ćubasti Gnjurac, Ušati gnjurac, Crnogrli Gnjurac and Kokošica possible. Small flock of Gorska juričica most winters. High tides are best for seeing roosting waders, check tide times and height first (see the link below). Take care not to get cut off by exceptionally high tides.

From Ipswich take A12 to Woodbridge then various minor roads to Waldringfield on south bank or Bawdsey on north bank. Boat hire available Woodbridge or Waldringfield.
