Description
Glasfynydd Forest has mostly moorland and woodland species eg Crnoglavi Batić, Red Grouse, Šumska Crvenperka, Šljuka Kokošica, Mala Šljuka, Mali Sokol, Vjetruša and Crvena lunja. In winter Veliki svračak, Krstokljun, Zimovka, Čižak and Lesser Redpoll. Few birds on the reservoir but Kržulja, Siva Čaplja and Veliki ronac possible. Vodenkos and Gorska Pastirica below the dam. For Leganj, look for a recently felled forest area with regrowth of bracken, bramble etc - only active after dark between May and August.

Access
From Swansea take A4067 Tawe valley road then left two miles beyond Danyrogof caves. From A40 Brecon/Llandovery road, turn south from Trecastle. Buses through Trecastle regularly. Train station at Llandovery. The circular walk around the reservoir is 8 km.
