Description
Lavernock Point usual seawatch species eg Oštrigar, Crna patka, Bluna, Sjeverni zovoj, Veliki pomornik, petrels, Troprsti galeb, Sivi Sokol, Crnoglavi Galeb and terns. Breeding species include Grmuša Pjenica, Crnokapa Grmuša and Sjeverna trepteljka. Migrating flocks of Mali Drozd, Drozd Bravenjak, Juričica, waders, Češljugar and 1,000s of Golub Grivnjaš. The beach is good for triassic and jurassic fossils such as ammonites, giant oysters, bones and teeth of marine reptiles. The sea here has a high tidal range and sweeps in very quickly. Check tide times (see the link below) before venturing to the shoreline and avoid overhanging cliffs.

From M4 junction 33 go south on A4232, then right at first interchange on A4060, continue past Barry and through Sully village. Sign to Lavernock on right 2 miles further on.
