Description
The Moor Green Lakes Nature Reserve occupies 36 hectares north of the River Blackwater. A footpath runs along much of the River Blackwater and provides reasonable, but sometimes distant, views of the lakes. There are 2 hides on the reserve providing good views of the lakes. Resident birds are Mali Gnjurac, Ćubasti Gnjurac, Mala Bijela Čaplja, Kobac, Vivak, Sivi Ćuk, Vodomar, Močvarna Strnadica, Zimovka and Crvena lunja. Summer visitors are Kulik Sljepčić, Riječni Galeb, Crvenokljuna Čigra and Sokol Lastavičar. In winter you can expect Veliki ronac, Patka Batoglavica, Bijeli ronac, Gorska Pastirica and sometimes Sova močvarica. During migration birds like Patka Pupčanica, Bukoč, Eja Močvarica and Krivokljuna Prutka can sometimes be spotted.

At the western end, there is a small car park off Lower Sandhurst Road (SU 805 628), and at the eastern end, the Activity Centre car-park off Mill Lane (SU 821 620).
