Description
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Crna patka, Patka kulašica and the rare Surf Scoter together. Also wintering here may be Gavka, Patka Batoglavica, Veliki ronac, Riđogrli Gnjurac, Ušati gnjurac, all 3 diver species, Morski žalar and Mali ronac.
Poljska Ševa, Sjeverna trepteljka, Oštrigar, Crvenonoga Prutka, Kulik Blatarić and Juričica breed here, plus Krstokljun, Čižak and Zlatoglavi Kraljić in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Pjegava Grmuša, Šarenokrili azijski zviždak and Mala muharica may turn up in September.
