Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site that is transformed into a natural reserve and recreational area. In winter, it is easy to observe many Kontyos réce and Barátréce. There are also many Dankasirály and Sárgalábú sirály. In summer, there are only Bütykös hattyú, Szárcsa and Búbos vöcsök and a few Kis vöcsök.

Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site located in Bischheim near Strasbourg. It's quite far from the tram stop, so it's better to take the car or a bicycle. There's a large parking lot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk around the lake is approximately 2 km.
