Description
Eagle Gorge is an easily accessible gorge from Dedoplistsqaro. Fakó keselyű, Fekete gólya and Vándorsólyom breed on the cliffs and can easily be seen from specific watchpoints along the routes. On warm days, Kígyászölyv and Törpesas make regular appearances. In the forest down in the valley Sárgarigó and kaukázusi füzike can be heard in spring and summer.
The cliff walls are home to kövi csuszka, Kék kövirigó and szirtifecske. Near the parking lot Kucsmás sármány, Kerti sármány and Karvalyposzáta are heard singing or can be seen on migration. In autumn, Pártásdaru are sometimes seen migrating past the highest tops. Further along the path there is a breeding facility for wild Fácán , so a true wild bird of this species has to be encountered somewhere else.
