Description
Mosvatnet is a lake surrounded by paths, trees, and reeds, with tranquil viewpoints just minutes from Stavanger city center. The calm waters and green areas attract many species year-round, making it ideal for both beginners and experienced birdwatchers. Ducks, swans, grebes, and gulls can easily be observed here, as well as species such as fekete rigó, széncinege, Vörösbegy and Zöld küllo in the nearby woods. In winter and during migration, various aquatic species and northern birds also arrive.

Access
Mosvatnet is located near the center of Stavanger and is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, or by public transport. There are several access points and parking areas around the lake, especially near Mosvangen Park and Stavanger Idrettshall. Press a P on the map for directions.
The best way to explore the area is on foot. A flat path of 3 km circles the entire lake and allows for easy stops at the best birdwatching spots. Cycling is also a good option for quickly reaching the various scenic areas.
