Description
The Foix Delta is located in Cubelles, Barcelona province. In its final stretch the Foix river runs through a heavily urbanized area. During spring and autumn, the river mouth is a good place to observe passerine migratory bird species like Vörhenyes fecske , Bajszos poszáta , Kormos légykapó , cserregő nádiposzáta , vörösfejű gébics , and also shorebirds like Erdei cankó , Piroslábú cankó , Szürke cankó , or Parti lile. Széki lile is one of the most iconic species. Other interesting species that occur are üstökösgém , Vörös gém , and Guvat.
The following species are present all year round: Szuharbújó , Berki poszáta , and Kucsmás poszáta. Seabirds can also be observed resting or bathing in the lagoon, notably Szerecsensirály , Kenti csér , and Korallsirály. At sea, notable species can be observed such as baleári vészmadár , bukdosó vészmadár , Mediterrán vészmadár , and Szula.

Access
The Foix Delta is located in the town of Cubelles, about 50 km west of Barcelona. The area can be reached by car, and it is easy to park in the Municipal Sports Centre. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Public transport: Getting there by train is easy. The train station of Cubelles (1) is on walking distance (500m) of the Foix Delta. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,5 km.
