Description
The Vía Verde del Aceite is a nice area for birdwatching, attracting a multitude of birds from the countryside and olive groves, such as the tengelic, Vadgerle and Kuvik which find this route an ideal home. You might also spot some birds of prey, or Holló. It's not uncommon to hear flocks as you walk or see them soaring overhead. It's also a good spot near the city if you want to see or hear the vörös fogoly. What makes the route special is the sheer abundance of olive trees along the entire route, as well as almond trees during their flowering season.

Español: La Vía Verde del Aceite que inicia desde la Ciudad de Jaén, es una ruta que se encuentra entre un mar de olivos (de ahí viene su nombre). Ideal para pasear. Es muy buen lugar para observar aves, ya que atrae a un montón de aves de hábitat de campiña y olivares, como es destacado caso de tengelic, que encuentra esta ruta como un hogar ideal. También se pueden ver algunas aves rapaces, o Holló, que no sería raro escuchar bandadas mientras caminas o verlos pasar volando por encima tuya extendiendo sus alas. También es un buen lugar cercano a la ciudad si deseas ver o escuchar vörös fogoly. Lo que lo hace único de muchos otros lugares es la abundancia exagerada de olivos por toda la ruta, además de almendros durante su época de florecimiento.

Access
Access is via the start of the route, in the upper-left corner of the Fuentezuelas neighborhood, where the urban area of Jaén ends. Press P on the map for directions. Many people go by bike, making it the most popular spot for cyclists from the city of Jaén, although walking and strolling are also highly recommended to fully appreciate the scenery and its flora and fauna. The route shown on the map is about 4 km one way (8 km out and back).

Español: Se accede por el inicio de la ruta, en la esquina superior-izquierda del barrio de las Fuentezuelas, donde acaba el territorio urbano. Mucha gente va en bici, siendo el lugar más visitado por los ciclistas jiennenses de la capital para hacer ciclismo, aunque también es muy recomendable ir andando y pasear para disfrutar más del paisaje y su flora y fauna.
