Reputedly 192 species visit the area and wetlands around the village of Gökova, mostly on migration. That includes 5 species of lark, 4 of wheatear, vagrant falcons. 60 species breed including Kerti geze and Nádirigó. Also barna halkapó can be spotted. Wintering wildfowl such as Csörgo réce, Nyílfarkú réce and Vörösnyakú lúd. Boat trips available along the river and coastline. All seasons good except in summer heat.
