Description
Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Fütyülő réce, Csörgo réce and Kanalas réce in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Kerceréce. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Piroslábú cankó, Csigaforgató and Kis lile in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of cserregő nádiposzáta, Foltos nádiposzáta and Berki poszáta, Kakukk and Guvat. Kabasólyom are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Sárjáró and vándorpartfutó, laposcsőrű víztaposó, Nyaktekercs and vörösfejű gébics.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
