Broom Lakes are former gravel pits that have become a nice habitat with pools and wet meadows that are interesting for many water birds and waders. When you walk around Broom Lakes you can - depending on the season - see good numbers of duck, including Bütykös ásólúd, Csörgo réce, Fütyülő réce, Kontyos réce, Kendermagos réce and Tőkés réce. Both Búbos vöcsök and Kis vöcsök are often seen. Other birds that can be seen here include Küszvágó csér, Kis lile, Parti lile, Csigaforgató, Bíbic, Piroslábú cankó, Nagy bukó, Nádi sármány, Citromsármány, Vörös kánya, Egerészölyv and vörös vércse.
