Description
Chafford Gorges is a beautiful nature reserve set in amongst a new build housing estate, with lakes overlooked by a huge white ravine. A network of pathways take you around lakes, meadows and woodland. Among the birds that you can expect to see are Jégmadár, Nagy fakopáncs, Zöld küllo, partifecske, Kanalas réce, Kontyos réce, Kis vöcsök, Karvaly, Foltos nádiposzáta, cserregő nádiposzáta, Barátposzáta, tengelic and Berki poszáta. In winter, the gorges are visited by birds such as Csíz, Barna zsezse and Barátréce.

The park is within walking distance of Chafford Hundred railway station. When you choose to arrive by car there is a free car park on site. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
