Description
Chartershaugh Pond is essentially a flooded field that fills during wetter seasons and shrinks in dry weather, but when flooded it becomes a very attractive spot for birdlife. Bird that can be observed here include Nyári lúd, Nagy lilik, rövidcsőrű lúd, Kanadai lúd, Kis hattyú, Énekes hattyú, Böjti réce, Fütyülő réce, Bíbic, Csörgo réce, Bütykös ásólúd, Kanalas réce, Nyílfarkú réce, Barátréce, Nagy bukó, Kis vöcsök, Kék galamb, Szárcsa, Vízityúk, and Nagy kócsag.

Chartershaugh Pond is located 7 miles west of Sunderland, close to Chartershaugh Bridge. Take the road opposite Fatfield CIU club car park, follow road till you go under Washington highway and the pond is on your left. Press P on the map for directions.
