Description
The Deben Estuary is a nationally and internationally significant wintering area for up to 6,000 Aranylile, 600 Nagy goda, Piroslábú cankó and 400+ Gulipán. Also Havasi partfutó, Sarki partfutó, Ezüstlile and Bíbic. Kerceréce at Martlesham Creek and Jeges búvár at Ramsholt. Búbos vöcsök, Füles vöcsök, Feketenyakú vöcsök and Guvat possible. Small flock of sárgacsőrű kenderike most winters. High tides are best for seeing roosting waders, check tide times and height first (see the link below). Take care not to get cut off by exceptionally high tides.

From Ipswich take A12 to Woodbridge then various minor roads to Waldringfield on south bank or Bawdsey on north bank. Boat hire available Woodbridge or Waldringfield.
