Description
The main areas of interest are;
1. Gamber Meadows - reedbed, river and rushy swamp. Access from St Weonards, see map. May have Jégmadár, Sárszalonka, Karvaly, sárga billegető, Macskabagoly, Nádi sármány and cserregő nádiposzáta.
2. Pencoyd fishing and irrigation pools. Park at Pencoyd church. May have Zöld küllo, Nagy fakopáncs, hegyi billegető, Léprigó, cigánycsuk, Mezei poszáta, Barátposzáta, Szürke gém, Egerészölyv, vörös vércse and Holló.
3. Apple orchards north of Michaelchurch. 100's of fenyőrigó and szőlőrigó in winter.
4. Stubble fields, field margins sown for pheasants etc - attract flocks of Mezei pacsirta, Kenderike, Csíz, Csóka and occasional Barna zsezse and fenyőpinty in late autumn. Vörös kánya and Holló.
Mammals in the area include roe and muntjac deer, hare, red fox and badger.

Access
St Weonards is midway between Hereford and Monmouth on the A466. Buses every two hours from either town. Parking opposite the school then walk through churchyard. Please do not park by the church, as this obstructs farmer's machinery. The circular route from St Weonards is about 5 km.
Pencoed and Michaelchurch are near Harewood End on the A49 Hereford-Ross road. Buses are hourly from either town. The circular route from Pencoyd church is about 3 km.
