From the hides (one is two-storey) at Stanwick Lakes one can see Küszvágó csér, Gyöngybagoly, Pásztorgém, Kis kócsag, winter wildfowl such as Kendermagos réce, Kanalas réce, Fütyülő réce, Csörgo réce, Nyílfarkú réce and Barátréce. The woods and scrubland have cigánycsuk, warblers, szőlőrigó, fenyőrigó, Zsezse and Csíz.

Stanwick lakes is between Kettering and Bedford. It is 300 yards west of the A45 Stanwick roundabout. Click on the P in the map for directions. Parking charge is £3.80 for all day
