Description
The Trent Port area is flat and overlooks a number of fields and the River Trent. The River Trent is a good location for billegetőcankó during passage, Kis kócsag and Jégmadár. The surrounding fields and hedgerows have good numbers of vörös fogoly, Nádi sármány and Citromsármány. 150 species have been recorded here including local scarcities such as sisegő füzike, Meggyvágó, Sztyeppi sirály and Kormos légykapó whilst Kis sárszalonka and Nagy bukó are annual visitors. In winter the River Trent is prone to flooding the fields, which provide some additional ornithological interest. Species recorded during floods includes Kanalas réce, Nyílfarkú réce, Barátréce and Kontyos réce.
