Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site that is transformed into a natural reserve and recreational area. In winter, it is easy to observe many Skúfönd and Skutulönd. There are also many Hettumáfur and Klapparmáfur. In summer, there are only Hnúðsvanur, Bleshæna and Toppgoði and a few Dverggoði.

Ballastière de Bischheim is a former gravel and sand extraction site located in Bischheim near Strasbourg. It's quite far from the tram stop, so it's better to take the car or a bicycle. There's a large parking lot. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The circular walk around the lake is approximately 2 km.
