Description
The Marais du Val d'Ainan has pastures, woodlands, wet meadows and reedbeds. The wetland is an important nesting site for migratory birds and habitat of numerous amphibians and orchids. A 1800-meter-long trail allows you to discover the site. Birds you can observe include Barrmeisa, Blámeisa, Skottmeisa, Þyrnisöngvari, Seljusöngvari, Turnfálki, Þistilfinka, Gaukur, Þyrnisvarri and Músvákur.

Access
Marais du Val d'Ainan is located near the village of Chirens, 30 km north of Grenoble. From Grenoble, take the D1090 (Route Napoléon) north towards Voiron. near Voiron, follow local roads to Chirens. You can park at the cemetery. Press P on the map for directions to a parking. From the parking you can explore the area on foot.
