The area consists of fields bordered by small groves and patches of farmland overgrown with herbs and flowers, which attract many interesting birds such as: Vallskvetta, Topplævirki, Sönglævirki, Músvákur, Brúnheiðir and Herfugl. In winter, you can see Bláheiðir and many Gráþröstur there. In the patches of woodland, you can find Grænspæta, Barrspæta, Glókollur and Hrafn.
