Description
The Ordacsehi Berek area consists largely of marshland, but the walk leads mainly through sandy grassland where you may encounter Steindepill, Vallskvetta and Gulerla. There are shallow pools where Jarpönd and Stokkönd swim. A section of the path is also flooded, and wading bird species such as Vatnastelkur and Lyngstelkur are often found here. There is also a small Býsvelgur colony. Other birds you can see include: Haförn, Dvergskarfur, Reyrsöngvari, Sefsöngvari, Herfugl, Rauðhegri, Mjallhegri, Gráhegri, Músvákur, and Brúnheiðir.
