Description
This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including Lómur, Sefgoði, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including Hávella. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including Tjaldur, Háleggur, Bjúgnefja, Sótstelkur, Strandlóa, Grálóa, Tildra, Lappajaðrakan and many more. Also Dvergmáfur, Dílarella, Kolþerna, Tígulþerna and Skeggþerna and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
