Description
The fields near the village of Rodersdorf are very natural with many hedges and fallow areas in which Þyrnisöngvari, Þyrnisvarri, and Vallskvetta breed. Part of the area is a small nature reserve where Reyrsöngvari and other reed inhabitants can be found. Breeding at the church are Dvergkráka. In autumn, many birds of prey such as Gjóður, Gráheiðir, Brúnheiðir, Bláheiðir and Býþjór pass through. In addition, Kolstorkur move across the area every year. It is also one of the best Gulerla spots in the region.

You can drive by car all the way up to the school building in Rodersdorf and walk from there. Click on the P in the map to get directions to this parking spot. Public transport: in Basel you can take tram line 10 to Rodersdorf.
