Description

The area round the village of Akdoğan is a beautiful place where rare species can be seen. Especially in autumn, buntings like Steintittlingur, Gultittlingur, Lerkitittlingur frequent this spot. The birds are usually on the ground or in the fields. Look for areas with a lot of movement. Rare species are often found among large flocks.

In addition, birds of prey pass through here. Kuflgammur, Gullörn, Sparrhaukur and Stúfhaukur can all be observed.

Access

The village if Akdoğan is located 70 km north of Ankara. You can easily reach this place by your own car. It’s a bit far from the city, but it’s definitely worth the trip. Being there at sunrise will increase your chances.
