Description
Allhallows Marshes cover 98 hectares of land consisting of grazing marsh with water courses, ditches, fields, dykes and hedgerows. The brackish, grazing marshes attract many birds. Wading birds like Stelkur, Tjaldur, Lappajaðrakan, Jaðrakan, Fjöruspói, Spói, Bjúgnefja and Rúkragi. But also many other birds like geese, ducks and gulls. Also Brandugla and Brúnheiðir, Sandlóa, Mjallhegri and Gaukur can be seen. Others seen from time to time are Þyrnisvarri and Mánaþröstur on passage. Bognefur is a current visitor.
